Future Meeting March 19, 2010

I know it’s a long way off but just wanted you to know that there is a worship meeting scheduled for Friday night March 19th at 6:30.  This meeting will be at the Caldwell County Public Library in Lenoir NC in the meeting room 3.  This should allow you plenty of time to make plans to worship with us.  Even the room has tables and chairs instead of pews God’s Spirit is just as real in our services.  We are praying for God’s will and direction as we move forward with our plans to start a Lenoir  congregation of The church of God.  Please help us pray.  May God bless and I hope to see you there.  Your fellow servant in the Kingdom of our Lord, Preston

Sis. Bethany

Upcoming Meeting March 5th

On February 24, 2010, in Meetings, Uncategorized, by preston

We have another worship planned for The church of God in Lenoir.  This will be at the Caldwell County Public Library in Meeting room 3 at 6:30 March 5, as usual.  Please make plans to join us and bring a friend.  God has really blessed our efforts so far.  The services have been uplifting and encouraging.  It is our desire to see the truth proclaimed here in Lenoir.  Please pray for us as we undertake such an endeavor.  The devil is fighting.  But I would expect no less from him.  He knows he only has but a short time.  I like what the Apostle Paul said,” I am set for the defense of the gospel.”  Paul knew there was a battle.  If we think we can do anything for God without a battle we are sadly mistaken.  So, come what may, if the Lord will give us the strength and direction we will press the battle on.

Who are you working for?

Well we had another service tonight.  The turnout was little disappointing but God was still faithful to us.  We were getting ready to start when Bro. CJ got there and he said that he had to take Sis. Tonya to the ER.  She spent several hours there but didn’t have to stay the night.  The devil fought us but God prevailed.  We tried to record the service tonight but like always I forgot to bring the mic.  The saints were encouraged.  I am more determined than ever to press the battle on.  I am praying for God’s wisdom on how to proceed with this work.  It is tough trying build a work from scratch.  I know that it’s not going to be easy but like Bro. Ken says, “if it was easy everybody would be doing it.” We left with a greater determination to work for Jesus.  After all that is who we are doing this for.  We enjoyed a meal together after the service as well.

Bro. Rusty
